ADHD coaching for adults

It’s not too late to make sense of your brain.

Some people learn about their ADHD early and get real support. If that's not your story, you're in the right place.

I'm Evan, a late-diagnosed ADHDer and attorney-turned-coach. I'm not here to hand you a generic system or tell you how you should live. I'm here to help you understand your brain with less shame. Together, we can build strategies that are yours, tailored to your strengths, challenges, values, and goals.

Does any of this sound familiar?

From the outside, you've done well, maybe very well. On the inside, you feel like a fraud and have never understood why everything was so hard.

You care about the people in your life, and you still lose touch, then feel too ashamed to reach back out.

You have a diagnosis, a strong suspicion, or something in between, and don’t know what to do next.

One email can take an hour. A phone call requires you to psych yourself up, which takes longer than the call itself.

The everyday stuff that seems easy for everyone else, like planning dinner or moving the laundry to the dryer, somehow isn't.

You've read the books, watched the videos, and saved a hundred tips. You know a lot about ADHD, and you still can't get yourself to use any of it.

None of that means you're lazy or broken. Knowing what might help and being able to do it are two different things, especially with ADHD. Coaching helps you close that gap, with strategies that fit your brain and your life.

The goal isn't to get rid of every challenge. It's to build the skills, self-compassion, and strategies of your own that help you get through hard things with less anguish.

Your challenges and your strengths are usually two sides of the same coin, and you're not alone in any of this.

Who I work with

Late-diagnosed adults, however you got here.

Maybe you were diagnosed as an adult. Maybe you suspect you have ADHD and aren't sure whether you'll ever pursue a diagnosis. Or maybe you were diagnosed young, handed a prescription, and told you'd grow out of it. You don't need official paperwork to work with me.

Professionals in demanding jobs.

I know what it's like when your old coping strategies stop working at work, because mine did when I was a practicing attorney. I work with people in law, academia, medicine, tech, and other demanding fields.

People doing public interest and social justice work.

That includes public defenders, legal aid attorneys, community organizers, and many others working to make the world a better place.

If coaching affordability is a concern and you are in this category, let me know. Sliding scale openings are limited, but when I have capacity to add a new sliding scale client, you have priority.

How it works

You are the expert on your own life and experience, and you are the one in the driver's seat, deciding where you want to go. But if it feels like all the maps you were ever given are in a different language and no one ever taught you wayfinding skills you can actually use or how to even decide on a destination that's where I come in.

There’s no commitment.

We talk about what’s going on and what you are looking to get out of coaching.

2

You’ll tell me about what you want to change, I’ll ask you some questions and tell you more about my coaching process and philosophy, and we’ll see if we’re a good fit.

We look at your patterns, figure out the why behind them, and build strategies for the ones you want to change.

We get to work.

What clients say

"I was struggling with things that seemed to come so easily to everyone else... But Evan was unfazed by my floundering and lent her empathetic ear, as well as her personal stories, allowing my shame to fall right off my shoulders... Never once did Evan tell me how, but rather, guided me to my own 'how.'"

— Jordan O.

"Evan has helped me better identify my ADHD patterns, understand the why behind those patterns, and develop strategies for patterns I've wanted to change. As an attorney, Evan understands the challenges of highly-demanding jobs and her coaching has helped me handle my distractions, reach my professional goals, and enjoy my job again."

— Rachel S.

Evan understands how ADHD can impact lives and provided me with a safe space to process how it impacts me. Her compassion and understanding comes through clearly. I was able to move forward on a business related obstacle after working with Evan. She helped me gain an awareness of what was actually getting in my way. Now I have a clear vision of what it is I want to achieve and I’m making progress towards my goal.”

— Deirdre S.
